Knowledge is Power

In 1992 scientists discovered an entire system, that exists in all vertebrate mammals, intended to receive the benefits found in hemp. It is called the endocannabinoid system and receptors for receiving these benefits are found throughout the body.

Most people have heard an earful about the health benefits of CBD — its effects on stress-response, inflammation & immunity, pain, mood, and more — but the question of how and why CBD works opens a window onto a vast & complex system that science is still making sense of: the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)

Is it legal where I live?
Federally, we can say, yes it is, if you live anywhere inside of the United States and it’s territories. We cannot guarantee that local laws apply to that statement, but it’s important to know that as of Dec. 20th, 2018 when the Farm Bill was signed into law, hemp and it’s derivatives, including CBD, were fully legalized after having already been lawful for several years prior, so long as it had been grown under the Pilot Program authorized by Congress in the 2014 Farm Bill.

It was legal before, but is now, beyond any shadow of a doubt 100% lawful.

It’s been removed from the Controlled Substance Act (hemp and it’s derivatives) and states and territories are forbidden from prohibiting the transport or hemp and hemp products throughout them.

In Section 12619 (p. 540) hemp was removed from the definition of “marihuana”, and THC found in hemp was excluded from the definition of a controlled substance.

Is it safe for breastfeeding?
Due to the lack of sufficient research in this area it’s a little inconclusive at the moment, however, it is interesting to note that cannabinoids in general (not necessarily THC or CBD, but other cannabinoids) are naturally occurring in breast milk and are essential to the development of the fetus at the moment of inception. That said, no one should give medical advice or take anything while breastfeeding without first consulting their doctor.
Is it safe for children?
Like a lot of things surrounding cannabis at the moment, there is not enough research available at this time to make a clear judgment. This would be a call that would have to be made by your doctor and we don’t advise anyone under 18 to experiment or try it without the consent and supervision of both their parent/guardian as well as their doctor.
Is it safe for pets?
This is a great question. It turns out that every vertebrate mammal on earth has an endocannabinoid system throughout their entire bodies with receptor sites specifically designed solely to receive cannabinoids. Many people give CBD to their pets for all kinds of ailments from anxiety to pain management to managing seizures. Again, though, like anything medical related, we advise you to consult your veterinarian to determine what is best for your pet. Is it safe for pets?
Will I fail a drug test?
As far as the nut butters are concerned, no it is not possible. CBD should not make your fail a drug test. With our full spectrum oil, however, it is possible to have what’s called a “false negative”. This means that in black and white terms if you are tested for THC it could show up in ultra low amounts. The legal threshold is under .3%THC in order for our products to be compliant with the law. THC derived from hemp has been removed from the definition of a controlled substance and hemp and it’s derivatives have been removed as a controlled substance from the Controlled Substance Act. So it’s a little bit complicated, but ultimately your chances are extremely low but still possible.

How much should I take?
We recommend following the instructions on our hemp oil bottles and using our 200mg bottle for pets and children (under adult and physician supervision), 500 mg to start for most adults as a maintenance, and 1,000, 2,000, or 5,0000 as you see fit if you are taking it for more extreme purposes.

Our nut butters and/or any edibles for that matter, we recommend maybe 30 mgs worth per day, although there really is no limit that we are aware of.

Our salve we recommend you use as needed.
